Blue Solder Mask
The Blue solder mask is another fairly popular choice for a solder mask colour. When using the blue solder mask there is an ideal contrast that arises with the silk screen used (white would be our recommendation). The blue solder mask is aesthetically pleasing to look at and makes the components much more visible compared to some other colours. This colour is highly useful for mounting display components such as an LCD. We use the H-8100 8BL solution for our blue solder mask. It is very reliable due to its heat and wear resistance. The contrast between traces, and empty spaces is low with blue solder mask, so we would not recommend it for prototyping and its best used for fully developed boards.
